Karanthai Tamil Sangam

After the inception of Karanthai Tamil Sangam Various Educational Institution Sprang up under the Shade are as follows

T.V. Radha Krishna Pillai Primary School was started in 1916. In recongnition of 30 years of selfless unique Service of Thamizhavel Umamaheswaranar in 1941 Umamaheswaranar Middle School was started. The esteemed Institution was raised to the status of High School in 1950 later on upgraded to Higher Secondary school in 1978.

• Thamizhavel Uma Maheswaranar Arts College
  The Karanthai Pulavar Kalloori was started in 1938 due to tireless work of Uma Maheswaranar. Later on it was converted into Arts College inorder to make education available in broder level to all needy, poor, downtrodden people in and around Karanthai.

• T.S. Pallanisamy Pillai Technical Training Centre
  In order to provide the Technical Education along with Arts & Science Education in 1992. T.S. Palanisamy pillai Technical Training Centre was founded.

• Uma Maheswaranar Teacher Training Institute
  In 2004-05 Acedemic Year, Uma Maheswaranar Teacher Training Institute was started to give education for boys & girls with proper recongnition.

• Uma Maheswaranar College of Education
  Uma Maheswaranar college of Education was started in 2005 under the auspicious of Bharathidasan University with Central & State recognition.
